PAKISTAN/SINDH | Health Department pays reimbursement of medical charges to a widow on the order of the Ombudsman

The Health Department of the Government of Sindh reimbursed medical charges to the widow of a government employee on the order of Mr. Asad Ashraf Malik, the Provincial Ombudsman of Sindh (Pakistan). According to the details, Mst. Razia Halepoto, widow of Ex-Headmaster, Government Boys High School Matli, District Badin approached the Honourable Ombudsman for the reimbursement of medical expenditures incurred on her treatment of cancer which were not being reimbursed to the complainant, despite lapse of 3 years. 

Due to intervention of the Ombudsman, process and procedure of scrutiny by the concerned department were expedited and all the medical charges were reimbursed by the Health Department to Mst. Razia Halepoto.

The complainant appreciated the role of the Ombudsman for taking prompt action and providing speedy justice to her.
