BackImmediately prior to the international Ombudsman conference in Rome commencing, IOI President Chris Field PSM was delighted to meet the Australian Ambassador to the Holy See, Her Excellency Ms Chiara Porro. Importantly, 2023 marks 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and the Holy See. It was also President Field’s pleasure to meet the Chargé d'Affaires of the Australian Embassy in Italy, Ms Mary Ellen Miller.
“I sincerely thank them both for their warm engagement on a range of matters regarding the work of the Ombudsman and the work of our country. I am appreciative, and deeply so, of the significant and gracious support offered to me by Australia’s outstanding diplomatic corps around the world” said President Field.
