In a note the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights reflects the role of NHRIs with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic and offers an "Aide Memoire" that has been developed by OHCHR to provide guidance to NHRI interventions based on international human rights standards.
High Commissioner Bachelet acknowledges that many NHRIs are already engaged in various activities, and asks them to share some of the good practices and experiences that they have already accumulated with the OHCHR. You may share your experiences and good practices with Liza Sekaggya.
The OHCHR would then like to document and share these experiences broadly with NHRIs around the world and also with OHCHR field presences supporting the work of individual NHRIs.
UN High Commissioner Bachelet commends the work that NHRIs around the world are doing during this challenging times, and re-assures them of the OHCHR's continued support and collaboration.
