MACAO, CHINA | New Commissioner against Corruption of the Macao SAR appointed

On 20th December, 2024, the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China celebrated its 25th anniversary. On the same date a new Chief Executive, Mr. Sam Ho Fai, as well as the holders of key public positions in Macao took over to serve a 5-year term.

On that date, amongst the holders of key public positions, a new Commissioner against Corruption of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China was appointed, Ms. Ao Ieong Seong.

Ms. Ao Ieong Seong was born in 1984 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Macau in 2006, and a Master Degree in Law from the University of Macau in 2015.

Between 2006 and 2007, Ms. Ao Ieong Seong, successively attended the training course for judicial clerks and worked as an investigator of the Macao Special Administrative Region Commission against Corruption, and between 2007 and 2011, Ms. Ao Ieong Seong, served as a senior instructor in the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau.

From 2011 to 2013, Ms. Ao Ieong Seong, attended the training course for training magistrates of courts and from the Public Prosecutions Office, and still in 2013, Ms. Ao Ieong Seong, was appointed as prosecutor of the Public Prosecutions Office of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China working successively in the Office at the Primary Court and at the Criminal Proceedings Office of the Public Prosecutions Office.   From December 2019 to December 2024, Ms. Ao Ieong Seong, served as Deputy Commissioner against Corruption.
