The African Ombudsman and Mediators Association (AOMA) recently released its new newsletter including a wide range of information on ombudsman institutions on the African continent.
2011 was an eventful year states Thuli Madonsela, AOMA Executive Secretary referring to the launch of the AOMA Research Center in Durban and the subsequent accreditation of AOMA with Observer Status in the African Union. The target in 2012 will be to consolidate the recent developments and to take the next steps to expand AOMA footprint on the continent.
