The Office of the Ombudsman of Catalunya published its electronic newsletter for the month of July 2013.

In its July edition the newsletter from the Catalan Ombudsman informs about his recommendation to the Social Welfare and Family Department to promote the modification of the law that allows the foster care services to keep minors under guardianship’s pensions. Minors formerly in care should be handed over the pensions perceived by the Catalan Government during tutelage.

Also, the newsletter reports on a commemoration act held at the headquarters of the Catalan Ombudsman on the occasion of the International Day in Support of Vicitms of Torture.
