In its May edition the newsletter informs about the problem of housing and over indebtedness and reports of the Ombudsman’s demand that the situation should not be worsened by charging the added value tax from those who have lost their homes.

Also, the newsletter reports on the Ombudsman’s appearance before the Constitutional Commission Parliament in Madrid to deliver a speech on the draft Law on Transparency, Access to Information and Good Governance. In this speech Ombudsman Ribó argued that the right of access to public information is a legal right that should be independently regulated.

Furthermore the newsletter informs about the 2012 Annual Report which Catalan Ombudsman Rafael Ribó recently presented to the plenary of the Parliament.
