BackIn her welcoming remarks, the Ombudswoman of the Gambia, Ms. Fatou NJIE-JALLOW, introduced the new website of the Office of the Ombudsman. As a podium for sharing information on the services of the Ombudsman in Gambia and abroad, the recently launched website presents relevant information on the institution of the Ombudsman.
Furthermore, the new website – for the first time in history of the office – enables citizens to file a complaint online providing facilitated access to justice for citizens.
Elaborating on this highly important development, Ms. Fatou Njie-Jallow noted:
“As the Office continues to provide administrative justice, there is a dire need to ensure that every member of the public knows about the Ombudsman services. As such, the Office has been carrying out a series of sensitisation activities, and with the creation of this website, it represents a milestone in making Ombudsman information readily accessible to a broader spectrum of society. I am confident that students and researchers will equally find the website useful. I also hope that this website will greatly contribute towards the sharing of information and best practice with sister ombudsman institutions around the world.”
