Kyrgyzstan | Ombudsman Injured During Riots In The Capital

Kyrgyz Ombudsman, Mr. Tursunbek Akun had been attacked and seriously injured during the unrest in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek.

Mr. Akun was hospitalised but is said to be on his way to recovery and to have taken up work again. As a first reaction, a letter by President William Angrick and Secretary General Peter Kostelka has been sent to Mr. Akun to express their concern on behalf of the I.O.I. and all its members.
