BackOmbudswoman Dr Burgi Volgger reports on the activities of her office within the past year as well as on changes of the legal situation in the Province of South Tyrol.
The Act on the ‘Volksanwaltschaft’ states, that the Ombudsman is only competent for complaints within municipalities which agreed on cooperation with the ‘Volksanwaltschaft’. Therefore Dr Volgger persuaded the representants of the serveral communities to work together with the office of the ombudsman to provide these valuable services to all citizens of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. In 2011 Dr Volgger could sign arrangements with the missing communities and is now competent for all 116 municipalities.
