CANADA/USA | Ontario Ombudsman staff holds SYT in Iowa

On May 15 and 16, Ombudsman Ontario staff delivered the Office's advanced investigative training course, Sharpening Your Teeth, to staff at the State of Iowa Office of Citizens' Aide/Ombudsman. SYT, a course for ombudsmen and administrative watchdogs, focuses on conducting systemic investigations, and specifically addresses evidence gathering and assessment; interview techniques; effective report writing; and using social media as an outreach and investigative tool. It has been delivered to oversight agencies and investigators around the world, as well as at the International Ombudsman Institute headquarters in Vienna.
