IOI | President Field chairs a session of the 2023 Asia Region meeting of the IOI and provides a presentation to members

It was the singular privilege of IOI President Chris Field PSM to be given the opportunity to chair the morning session of the 2023 Asia Region meeting of the IOI and provide a presentation to members during his official visit to Thailand. Following President Field’s presentation, there was an outstanding Q&A discussion between members of the Asia Region and President Field. Ombudsman from Thailand, Pakistan, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Bahrain, Indonesia, Timor Leste, and Macao joined the 2023 Asia Region meeting.

President Field expressed his deep gratitude to his friend Chief Ombudsman of Thailand and President of the Asia Region of the IOI, Somsak Suwansujarit, for his kind invitation to take part in the meeting.

“As President of the IOI, it is an honour to serve and support the Ombudsman who perform so exceptionally in protecting and promoting the interests of citizens in the most populous region on Earth; a region of profound economic, religious and cultural importance” said President Field. “I was also deeply humbled by the warmth and generosity extended to me by all members, and so grateful to them for the kindness they showed me in relation to my term as President. I will continue to commit to use every moment of my term as IOI President to serve them in any way that I can” said President Field.
