Chris Field, President of the International Ombudsman Institute and Western Australian Ombudsman, provided an opening greeting to delegates at the international conference on Advancing the Rights of the Elderly in an Age of Longevity, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel.
President Field followed the President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog and Speaker of the Knesset, Mickey Levy in providing his greeting. Opening greetings were also provided by the President of the Association of Mediterranean Ombudsman and Ombudsman of Greece, Andreas Pottakis; State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel, Matanyahu Englman; Secretary General of the International Ombudsman Institute and Member of the Austrian Ombudsman Board, Werner Amon. A lecture was provided by keynote speaker, Chairwoman, Chief Technology Officer and founder of Diagnostic Robotics, Dr Kira Radinsky. Lady Globes magazine, “one of the leading financial magazines in Israel, selected Dr. Radinsky, when Chief Scientist and Director of Data Science for eBay Israel, as ‘Woman of the Year’. Dr. Radinsky was atop a distinguished list of the 50 most influential women in Israel.”
President Field told conference participants that: “It is a great privilege and honour to join you in commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the office of the State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel. It is an extraordinary testament indeed to the wisdom of the Knesset five decades ago that we are here today to celebrate this anniversary.”
