BackA complainant approached Mr. Asad Ashraf Malik, the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh (Pakistan), stating that a cheque of Rs. 7,52,231/- issued by the management of Kulsoom Bai Valika Social Security Institution (KVSSI) Hospital, towards the supply of some material by her firm was dishonored. The complainant contacted the (KVSSI) Hospital for clearance of the dues but the management was delaying the payment on one pretext or the other.
To redress the grievance of the complainant Ombudsman Sindh, Mr. Asad Ashraf Malik issued directives to the authorities concerned to initiate enquiry in the matter. As a consequence of Ombudsman’s timely intervention the scrutiny process was expedited by the agency and the entire outstanding amount Rs.752,231/- was paid to the complainant by the defaulting hospital.
