IRELAND | Summer 2016 issue of the Ombudsman’s casebook

This Casebook contains summaries of recent cases the Ombudsman has dealt with. The Ombudsman hopes that by sharing the outcomes of cases, we will all learn from the mistakes and good practice of others.  

In this edition we highlight:

  • Which parts of the public sector receive most complaints
  • Cases involving exam procedures and marks
  • Cases involving hospital and HSE charges

The Casebook is conveniently organised by subject area (Health, Social Welfare, Planning, Housing, etc.) and contains cases from across the country.

The Ombudsman’s Casebook is published every three months in electronic form (see below).
