IACA | Tailor-made Training for the International Ombudsman Institute

From 16 to 18 September, IACA delivered a tailor-made training on anti-corruption and governance for 30 international participants working as investigative ombudsmen.

The programme focused on the work of ombudsman institutes throughout the world, and offered innovative tools for developing sound anti-corruption strategies based on the characteristics of participants’ particular countries. Through a series of interactive sessions, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and enhance their competences in identifying and evaluating weak areas in internal and external procedures and policies. Complaint management, different forms of corruption, codes of conduct, whistleblower protection, and public procurement were among the topics addressed.

This training was designed upon the request of the International Ombudsman Institute and represents the latest in a series of courses custom-designed by IACA in response to the individualized needs of a specific group.
