FRANCE | The Association des Ombudsmans et Médiateurs de la Francophonie mourns a passing

Dominique Baudis, Rights Defender and Secretary General of the Association des Ombudsmans et Médiateurs de la Francophonie (AOMF), died on Thursday, April 10, in Paris.

AOMF President and Québec’s Ombudsperson Raymonde Saint-Germain paid tribute to him in a letter to the members of the Association by recalling the invaluable role he played.

“I wish to attest to his sincere commitment to AOMF and mediation. He tirelessly defended the interests of the most vulnerable institutions. Dominique Baudis, a great citizen and servant of the people and the State, will be sorely missed. Our duty of remembrance of him includes an immense debt of gratitude to him.”
