Canada's Veterans Ombudsman, Guy Parent, hosted a public town hall for Veterans, military and RCMP members, their families, and other interested parties on Facebook Live, and in-person for those in the Ottawa area on Tuesday, March 21st.
The Ombudsman heard the concerns of the Veterans’ community, provided information about the work his Office is doing to help Veterans, and shared his priorities for addressing the gaps in the benefits and services that are provided to Veterans and their families. “This is an opportunity to hear the issues from Veterans and their families from coast, to coast, to coast, and to discuss the issues that are affecting them, “said Guy Parent, Veterans Ombudsman.
The Town Hall was live on Facebook for Veteran communities across the country. After a brief introduction, Mr. Parent answered questions live from Facebook and from the audience.
