BELGIUM | Cooperation between the Walloon Region and the French Community

Since this September 1st, 2012, the Ombudsman of the Walloon Region and the Ombudsman of the French Community gave way to the Ombudsman common to the French Community and to the Walloon Region.

The Parliament of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels and the Walloon Parliament appointed Mr Marc Betrand to the mandate of the Ombudsman to the Wallonia and to the Federation Wallonia-Brussels. The taking office of the new common Ombudsman is the realization of an agreement of cooperation between the Walloon Region and the French Community. The complete integration of both services in a new Service of the common Ombudsman will become reality in the next months.
