LUXEMBOURG | LYDIE ERR SUCCEEDS OMBUDSMAN MARC FISCHBACH

Lydie Err (62), Member of Parliament, is the new elected ‘Mediateure’ of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. She succeeds Ombudsman Marc Fischbach and will take office on 1st February.

As the term of Mr Marc Fischbach as ‘Médiateur du Grand-Duché du Luxembourg’ ends after eight years in office, Err was elected by the Parliament past December to assume this function. Yesterday, Wednesday 25th January she was sworn into her new role by Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker.

 

Lydie Err was born in 1949, studied laws and became Member of Parliament in 1984.
