PAKISTAN | Ombudsman of Pakistan signs three MoU with Azerbaijan, Iran and Kyrgyz Republic

From 7 – 10 March 2016, Mr. M. Salman Faruqui (Nishan-e-Imtiaz) the Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan and President of the Asian Ombudsman Association (AOA) visited Japan to participate in the 18th meeting of the AOA Board of Directors.

On the margins of the cited event the Honourable Ombudsman continued interaction and participated in the signing ceremony whereby three Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) on mutual cooperation were signed between the Ombudsmen of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Iran and the Kyrgyz Republic respectively. These MoUs take effect immediately and shall serve to strengthen bilateral exchanges, share expertise and deepen mutual understanding.

Speaking on the occasion the Honourable Ombudsman expressed deep satisfaction on the newly reached accords and praised the Embassy for its contribution towards negotiating and finalising the texts of the documents and also for hosting the signing ceremony.
