Ombudsman practice Training officially started

This morning, Secretary General Peter Kostelka officially opened this year's IOI Ombudsman Practice Training in Vienna with a short introductory speech about the IOI and the role of Ombudsmen in general. 33 Participants from all over the world then engaged in the first session held by Carol Brennan from Queen Margaret University (QMU) which has an excellent reputation as a centre for ombudsman and complaint handling practice.

The specific IOI edition of the QMU Training Program is held in English and consists of a three-day training course in complaint assessment, investigation, acting on findings, effective communication and reporting.

This is the third training course which is held in Vienna since IOI General Secretariat moved to Austria.
