TANZANIA | Training for investigation officers from African Ombudsman institutions

A three-day training for investigation officers from African Ombudsman organisations  will take place in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania from 2 to 4 January, 2014. The event will be hosted by the Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG), Tanzania in cooperation with the IOI and the African Ombudsman Association (AOMA).

The training will be conducted by renowned trainers from the University of Dar-es-Salaam and the Tanzania High Court who have enough knowledge and experience in ombudsman work and administrative justice complaints handling. It will be held in English and consists of a total of nine sessions on Ombudsman’s role, the rule of law, accountability, good investigation practice, and use of systemic investigation to bring about transparency in governments.

The training will be provided free of charge but travel and accommodation costs will be borne by the participants themselves. For the smooth organisation and efficient planning of the event, the nomination letter is sent and we request you to register by 20th December, 2013.
