AORC | Webinar on Strengthening Cyber Security in Ombudsman Institutions

Join the African Ombudsman Research Centre (AORC), a research and training arm of the African Ombudsman and Mediators' Association (AOMA), for an essential webinar on "Strengthening Cyber Security in Ombudsman Institutions" on Tuesday, 25 July 2023 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am (GMT+2), facilitaed by Adv. Kervin Malunga, Former Deputy Public Protector, South Africa. 

This webinar aims to raise awareness about the importance of cyber security for Ombudsman institutions, provide practical insights on strengthening cyber security measures, and foster collaboration among Ombudsman offices to address cyber security challenges collectively. While we may not have a specific Ombudsman speaker, the webinar will bring together experts and professionals in the field to share their knowledge and expertise on cybersecurity matters. The goal remains to equip Ombudsman institutions with the information and strategies to enhance their cyber security practices and protect sensitive data.

During the webinar, distinguished speakers will share their expertise and insights on various aspects related to cyber security for Ombudsman institutions. The topics to be covered include:

  • Understanding the Importance of Cyber Security for Ombudsman Institutions
  • Strategies for Building Resilience: Enhancing Cyber Security Measures
  • Strengthening Cyber Security in the Ombudsman Community.

The webinar will provide valuable knowledge and practical strategies to safeguard sensitive data, protect against cyber threats, and ensure the integrity and independence of Ombudsman offices.

The webinar will be conducted in English. Simultaneous interpretation will not be available. Ombudsman offices are encouraged to arrange translation services for their staff.
