On 15 December 2022, the UN General Assembly adopted the Resolution on the role of Ombudsman and mediator institutions in the promotion and protection of human rights, good governance and the rule of law. This new version of the Resolution draws attention to Ombudsman institutions’ NPM mandate, Ombudsman under threat, the Venice Principles as well as the IOI’s important role as a platform for best practice sharing between Ombudsman offices.

The Ombudsman's Office of Latvia has recently published its December 2022 News Summary containing news articles on the Ombudsman's Annual Conference on Human Rights and Good Governance, on the "Annual Award for Supporting People with Disabilities", or the office's support for the establishment of family courts in Latvia.

El 10 de enero 2023 ha tenido lugar la séptima reunión de la Comisión de Seguimiento del Pacto contra la segregación escolar, impulsado por la institución del Síndic de Greuges de Cataluña y el Departamento de Educación. En el transcurso de esta reunión, se ha presentado el Informe de progreso sobre el desplieque del Decreto 11/2021.

The seventh meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Pact against school segregation, promoted by the Catalan Ombudsman and the Department of Education, was held on 10 January 2023. In the course of this meeting, the Progress report on the deployment of Decree 11/2021 was presented.
