The Flemish Ombudsman Service has been promoting the theme of digital inclusion for years. Digital inclusion means that everyone can participate in the digital society, regardless of age, income, or educational level. Yet recent figures show that 40% of the population is digitally vulnerable. This creates problems for some people when applying for grants, accessing information, and exercising their rights. On Monday, 1 December 2025, Myriam Parys, Flemish Ombudsman, provided insights into these challenges on the Flemish radio program WinWin.

The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia has appointed the province’s next Ombudsperson. Sandy Hermiston will begin her term on January 31.

A workshop on the Ambassador Program was held on 24 November 2025 at IBA University Karachi. Addressing the students, Mr. Sohail Rajput highlighted that the program engages university students across Sindh to raise awareness about the role of the Ombudsman in promoting good governance, transparency, and human rights.

European Ombudswoman Teresa Anjinho has found a number of procedural shortcomings in how the European Commission prepared several legislative proposals that it considered urgent. Taken together the shortcomings amounted to maladministration. The findings are based on three separate complaint-based inquiries that examined the extent to which the Commission applied the standard policy-making rules and procedures when preparing legislative drafts concerning corporate sustainability due diligence (Omnibus I), the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), and countering migrant smuggling.

The House Business Committee presided by the Speaker of the House; the Hon. Anglu Farrugia met in a dedicated session to discuss the Ombudsplan 2026. The Parliamentary Ombudsman, Judge Joseph Zammit McKeon, opened the meeting with an overview of the Office’s performance.

El encuentro tendrá lugar el 11 de diciembre y se ha convocado a los municipios y entidades de la región metropolitana. Más adelante se ampliará a otras ciudades de todo el país.

Austria has committed itself to implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. However, neither the federal government nor the federal states are fulfilling this obligation. Ombudsman Achitz therefore calls for a strategy to give people with disabilities equal access to a self-determined life and inclusion.
