The People’s Advocate Office published the Annual Report on the Observance of Human Rights and Freedoms in the Republic of Moldova in 2024. The document presents a comprehensive analysis of the key trends, progress, and regressions in the human rights sector, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the protection of the most vulnerable members of society.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Public Protector South Africa, a milestone that reflects not only the institution’s growth but also three decades of impactful service to the people of South Africa. To commemorate this milestone, the PPSA hosted a 30-Year Anniversary International Conference from 13–15 October 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa, under the theme “30 Years of Strengthening Constitutional Democracy – A Transformative Journey".

On November 6, 2025, Ombudsperson Marc-André Dowd, published a situation report on the implementation of the calls for action of the Public Inquiry Commission on relations between Indigenous Peoples and certain public services in Québec: listening, reconciliation and progress (CERP in French).

Her Excellency the Governor, Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, announced on 9 October 2025 the appointment of Mrs. Cheryl Ann Jones as the new Complaints Commissioner, following the successful completion of the term of Complaints Commissioner Rita Gardiner. 

Du 21 au 23 octobre 2025, l’AOMF a organisé à Rabat, au Maroc, une formation consacrée au thème « Vers une contribution institutionnelle du Médiateur à l’Examen Périodique Universel (EPU) ». Cette rencontre, destinée à renforcer le rôle des Médiateurs dans le système onusien de protection des droits de l’Homme, a été rendue possible grâce à l’accueil et à l’engagement logistique de l’Institution du Médiateur du Royaume du Maroc, membre de l’AOMF, qui a une nouvelle fois témoigné son attachement aux travaux de l’association. La réussite de cette rencontre est également le fruit du soutien de l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), présente à l’événement.

On 9 October 2025, the Office of the Ombudsman celebrated Ombuds Day which is observed globally as an opportunity to reflect on the important role of the Ombudsman in strengthening good governance, promoting fairness and protecting the rights of citizens. 

The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab has always placed great emphasis on creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment across its offices. In line with this commitment, a series of training sessions were organized in collaboration with the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) under the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010.
