IOI | 2nd IOI/AOA joint training to be held in Thailand

The IOI is pleased to inform you that a 2nd IOI/AOA joint training workshop will be held in Thailand from 31 March to 3 April 2015 commemorating the 15th Anniversary of the establishment of the Thai Ombudsman.

This 2nd training workshop offered jointly by the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and the Asian Ombudsman Association (AOA) is generously hosted by the Office of the Ombudsman of Thailand, which celebrates the 15th Anniversary of its establishment in 2015.

The training course will be preceded by a one-day international seminar on “Ombudsman: Mechanism for the Fair Nation”, which will be held in Bangkok on 30 March 2015. In commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of the establishment of the Thai Ombudsman, this seminar will include key note speeches from IOI President and Namibia Ombudsman Adv. John R. Walters as well as Hong Kong Ombudsman Connie Lau.

The training course on “The Importance of Continuous Improvement in Complaint Handling and Customer Service” will be held from 31 March to 3 April in Pattaya, Thailand. It combines two high-profile workshops tailored by the Ombudsman of New South Wales (Australia) and deals with the topic of complaint handling and investigation as well as how to manage the conduct of unreasonable complainants. The workshops will be delivered by Deputy New South Wales Ombudsman Chris Wheeler and former Energy and Water Ombudsman of New South Wales, Ms Claire Petre.
