On 20 June 2023, the Office of the Ombudsman of Israel celebrated "National Ombudsday", a day designated for enhancing public awareness of the Office of the Ombudsman and its activities, and the important work of sectoral ombudspersons and public inquiries commissioners in the various public bodies.

La PPN fue creada en 1993 con la intención de dar una respuesta a la grave situación carcelaria que vivía la Argentina y a la violación sistemática de los derechos de las personas detenidas. El nacimiento de este organismo supuso un avance en el que Argentina fue pionera y modelo para otros países.

The Ombudsman, Ms Winnie Chiu,  announced on 3 August 2023 the launch of a direct investigation to examine the enforcement by the Planning Department (“PlanD”) and the Lands Department (“LandsD”) against unauthorised land developments.

Ombudsman of the Republic of Malawi, Grace Tikambenji Malera, has released an investigation report on allegations of unprocedural auction sale/disposal of motor vehicles at The Central Medical Stores Trust (CMST) and abuse of power by some members of management in relation to the auction sale/disposal of the motor vehicles.

Rob Behrens CBE, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO), received an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Coventry University. Ombudsman Behrens is being honored for his dedication to resolution services with higher education and significant contributions within the field of international development.

IOI President Chris Field PSM was delighted to meet, and participate in a formal exchange, with the Mayor of Kaohsiung, Mr Chen Chi-Mai. The meeting was also attended by a number of the Mayor’s staff as well as President Chen Chu and Members of the Control Yuan.
