The South Australian Ombudsman’s 2021-22 Annual Report was tabled in parliament on 27 september 2022. The Ombudsman, Mr Wayne Lines, reported that for the first time in the office’s history, his office received over 5,000 complaints about state and local government, of which 4,948 were responded to during 2021-22.

The Nova Scotia Ombudsman is pleased to publish the Annual Report, available in French and English, which covers the period of April 1 2021 to March 21 2022.

Ms Glass has tabled in the Victorian Parliament her fourth biennial report on the implementation of her recommendations. Her report covers 51 recommendations made to state and local government bodies between May 2020 and December 2021. All except one of her recommendations were accepted by the relevant body, with 31 implemented in full and 16 in progress.

On 13 September, the investigators of Amnesty International visited the Seimas Ombudspersons’ Office and met with the Seimas Ombudsperson Erika Leonaitė and the Advisor of the Human Rights Division Goda Jurevičiūtė.

Chris Field, President of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and Western Australian Ombudsman, attended border crossing points at the Hungarian-Romanian and Hungarian-Ukrainian borders during his official visit to Hungary.

Chris Field, President of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and Western Australian Ombudsman, was invited to plant a memorial tree in Nyírerdő Nyírségi Erdészeti Zrt State Forest in honour of his official visit to Hungary.

The Ombudsman, Maria Lúcia Amaral, received the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and Environment, David R. Boyd, on 21 September, in the scope of his official visit to Portugal.
