On 21 February 2023, representatives of the Ombudsman’s office met with representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the UN Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture (SPT). The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the OPCAT system in the OSCE region.

Considering the statistic on road accidents, Mr. Songsak Saicheua, Thai Ombudsman, launches a systemic investigation seeking solutions to amend obsoleted and ineffective laws and regulations. The Ombudsman’s resolution aims to reduce deaths caused by road accidents.
