The Inspector-General of Taxation and Taxation Ombudsman has recently published its 22^nd IGoT News! - Edition (April 2023). This newsletter's topics are, amongst others, an update on review investigations, tax disputes, and the office's relocation to new premises.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Christodoulides, has reappointed Mrs. Maria Stylianou-Lottides as the Commissioner for Administration and the Protection of Human Rights (Ombudsman) for a six year term after the approval of her nomination by the House of Representatives.

On 27 April 2023, the annual reports for 2022 for Saskatchewan’s Ombudsman and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner were tabled in the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly – a historic year, since the office is approaching its 50th anniversary. 

The Office of the Public Protector has continued with its community engagements in Itezhi-Tezhi District to sensitise members of the public on their rights to good administration and quality public service delivery.

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) of the Republic of Korea launched a training course to share its anti-corruption policies and experiences with African countries.

The Administrative Evaluation Bureau (AEB) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan has been conducting “Training Workshops for Administrative Counselors on Counseling with Foreign Nationals” since 2022. The Workshops are aimed at training Administrative Counselors for scenarios, in which foreign nationals would like to consult with Counselors, but are unable to speak Japanese.
