Alors que reprennent les discussions politiques entre les trois institutions européennes dans le cadre du règlement sur l’intelligence artificielle (IA), la Défenseure des droits demande avec Equinet et ses homologues européens que le texte issu des négociations permette de garantir le droit de la non-discrimination dans le développement d’une telle technologie à l’échelle européenne.

Chief Ombudsman Peter Boshier says the aim of this new section is to provide information to tamariki, rangatahi and whānau who may be considering making a complaint about Oranga Tamariki or its care or custody providers. The development of the information for children is part of a wider programme to enhance the Ombudsman’s oversight of Oranga Tamariki. 

On 21 and 22 September 2023, Ombudsman Sindh Ajaz Ali Khan attended the International Conference of Ombudsman in Rome, on the invitation of the Honourable Marino Fardelli, President of the National Coordination of the Italian Ombudsman institutions and Ombudsman of the Lazio Region.

In accordance with the national legislative framework, the Institution of the Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina submits an Annual Report on the results of its work in the previous year to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the legislatures of the entities – the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The annual report 2022 is now available.
