The Ombudsman of the Province of Santa Fe, Dr. Raúl Lamberto, presents a publication on "Social Policies and Human Rights at the local level", product of the joint work between the Office of the Ombudsman of the province of Santa Fe and the National University of Rosario, which is now also available in English.

The Queensland Ombudsman’s report, The Brisbane Youth Detention Centre report: An investigation into the management of young people at Brisbane Youth Detention Centre between November 2016 and February 2017, was tabled on the 27^th of March by the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP, Speaker of the Queensland Parliament.

 

This report presents the state of play of the implementation of the right of European Union citizens with disabilities to vote in elections to the European Parliament. With this report, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) provides a full picture of how this right is actually implemented. The report is available in English, French and Spanish.

On 25 March 2019 the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman), Adam Bodnar, invited representatives of different international human rights institutions, including the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI), to discuss the current situation of threat that he is facing at the moment.

 

Con la presencia de mujeres representantes de entidades sociales, gremiales, culturales y políticas el defensor, Raúl Lamberto, presentó el libro “Abriendo Sentidos” cuyo objetivo es convertirse en una guía práctica y adaptable a casi todos los contextos para trabajar situaciones de violencia de género, pero que además pueda adaptarse a otras situaciones, de violencia en el trabajo, en los efectores de salud, en educación, etc.

En el marco de la Segunda Conferencia de Alto Nivel de las Naciones Unidas sobre la cooperación Sur-Sur del Plan para Buenos Aires (PABA+40) la Procuración Penitenciaria de la Nación organizó junto con la Oficina del Alto Comisionado para los Derechos Humanos (ACNUDH) un evento paralelo en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Buenos Aires.
