The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has recently appointed Hon. Bahame Tom Mukirya Nyanduga as the new Chairman of the Tanzania Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG).

The Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT) held a symposium on „Addressing children’s vulnerabilities in detention“ in 2014 and published an outcome report which provides an overview of the context and key principles related to children in conflict with the law and deprived of their liberty, as well as the main risk factors and situations which need to be addressed by NPMs.

On 18 December 2014, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) of the Republic of Korea and the Ombudsman of the Kingdom of Thailand extended the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding in Bangkok to keep promoting cooperative activities.
