This year, the Ontario Ombudsman’s annual investigative training course, “Sharpening Your Teeth” (SYT) was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, from the 5^th to the 7^th of November 2018. Senior Ombudsman staff have trained hundreds of ombudsmen, investigators and other watchdog staff at this Toronto course and at customized, on-site SYT courses throughout the world – most recently in Manitoba, Canada; The Hague, Netherlands; and Anchorage, Alaska.

The partnership between the Ombudsman of Portugal and his Turkish counterpart was officially launched on Monday 12^th of November in Ankara with a kick-off meeting between the teams from both institutions.
