Réunies à Paris le 3 décembre 2019, onze organisations, dont le Médiateur fédéral, ont appelé à renforcer la protection des lanceurs d’alerte via la Déclaration de Paris. Ces organisations veillent à l’intégrité et à la protection des lanceurs d’alerte de la fonction publique dans leur pays. Elles font partie du réseau NEIWA, pour Network of European Integrity and Whistleblowing Authorities.

In a series of hearings, MEPs quizzed five candidates for the position of the European Ombudsman on what they could bring to the post by way of impartiality, visibility, transparency and ethics, if elected. Video recordings of each one-hour hearing now are available online.

The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) will host a Complaints Improvement Conference in Edinburgh on 25 February 2020. Colleagues interested in learning from complaints are welcome to attend this mixture of presentations and workshops on topics such as resolution, supporting staff and vulnerable people through the complaints process or the use of social media.
