The Commission on Administrative Justice, as part of the efforts to improve its oversight role in the counties, has opened a branch office in Isiolo Town to make the Commission’s services accessible to residents of Isiolo, Meru, Laikipia, Samburu and Marsabit counties.

Almost a month after beginning to accept complaints from children in Direct Provision, the Ombudsman for Children, Dr Niall Muldoon, has said that making a complaint can seem daunting for those living in the Direct Provision system.

A new law came into force in Québec on May 1, 2017. Under the Act to facilitate the disclosure of wrongdoings relating to public bodies, the Québec Ombudsman is mandated to handles disclosure of wrongdoing committed regarding any public body subject to the Act. From now on, whistleblowers will enjoy reliable, safe and independent recourse.
